　　1.at first blush=at first glance一瞥，乍一看(事先無(wú)準(zhǔn)備地，即席地)

　　【例句】At first blush the matter seems easy, in fact it is not (quite) easy.

　　乍看起來(lái)事情很容易，實(shí)際上并不完全如此。

　　【總結(jié)】at first blush是副詞短語(yǔ)，作狀語(yǔ)。

　　【拓展】at first glance和at first sight一瞥和初見(jiàn)(第一次見(jiàn))

　　前者表示看的匆忙，瞬間一看，看一眼

　　后者表示第一次見(jiàn)，不一定只看一次。at first view 初看

　　2.as a result of 由于……

　　【例句】He was late as a result of the snow.

　　由于大雪他遲到了

　　【辨析】as a result, as a result of

　　as a result 因此;結(jié)果 副詞作狀語(yǔ)。as a result of 介詞短語(yǔ)，后接賓語(yǔ)。

　　3.as soon as 一……就……

　　【例句】As soon as I get to Beijing, I'll write to you. 我一到北京，就給你寫(xiě)信。

　　【總結(jié)】引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)從句，符合主將從現(xiàn)規(guī)則(當(dāng)主語(yǔ)是將來(lái)時(shí)態(tài)，從句用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí))

　　4.at least 至少、最少

　　【例句】She's completely homeless at least I have my parents to fall back on.

　　她是真正無(wú)家可歸--我至少有父母可依靠。

　　【詞語(yǔ)辨析】at(the) least, not(in) the least

　　這一對(duì)短語(yǔ)都包含least。

　　at(the) least: 意思是“至少”(指數(shù)量或程度上)也可解作“反正就是...”。它與at the least，at the very least同義，可互換使用，但后兩者有強(qiáng)調(diào)意味，遠(yuǎn)不及前者用得普遍。

　　The total enrolment of the university in the academic year 1991-1992 was at least 10, 000, including undergraduate and postgraduate students.

　　在1991-1992學(xué)年期間，該大學(xué)至少有一萬(wàn)名大學(xué)生，包括本科大學(xué)生和研究主。

　　Even if you cannot help him, you can give him encouragement at least.

　　就算你未能幫助他，至少你可以鼓勵(lì)他。

　　Whether you like it or not, at the very least, this is reality.

　　不管你是否喜歡，反正這是個(gè)現(xiàn)實(shí)。

　　not(in) the least: 意思是“毫不”、“一點(diǎn)也不”(by no means)，也可寫(xiě)作not in the least.但后者一般不用作定語(yǔ)?，F(xiàn)今，后者更常見(jiàn)。

　　
①Are you cold? —Not (in) the least.

　　你冷嗎?—一點(diǎn)也不冷。

　　
②Spanish has not the least interest for them.(作定語(yǔ)，沒(méi)有in)

　　他們對(duì)西班牙語(yǔ)毫不感興趣。

　　5.at least…if not more 如果不是更多，至少也……

　　【例句】I have to mop the kitchen floor at least once a day, if not more.

　　若不是應(yīng)該更多，我每天至少要把廚房地板擦洗一次。
